For those who are under weight, gaining weight is a big challenge. So here are a few tips or you can say guidelines .. Yaah that would be a correct term "GUIDELINES" for gaining weight !

For those who are under weight, gaining weight is a big challenge. So here are a few tips or you can say guidelines .. Yaah that would be a correct term "GUIDELINES" for gaining weight !
GUIDELINES:
- There should be a steady weight gain and it should be maintained very well.
- Diet should be rich in PROTEINS, CARBS AND MODERATE AMOUNT OF FAT.
- All nutrients should be in proper amounts.
- Fluid intake should be proper.
- If required supplements (weight gainers) should be incorporated in the diet.
- Excess fat and sugars should be avoided as they can cause metabolic disorders in future.
- Proper nutrient and energy dense snacking has to be done in between meals. Total 6 - 8 meals has to be taken in a day.
- As far as possible fiber should be avoided in the diet as it promotes weight loss rather than weight gain.
- Whey protein, high Biological value foods or animal protein should be included in diet for gaining weight and muscle.
- Exercise for about 60-90 mins is suggested with weight training and a proper balanced diet.
