Weight loss is
a decrease in body weight resulting from either voluntary (diet, exercise)
or involuntary (illness) circumstances. Most instances of weight loss arise due
to the loss of body fat, but in cases of extreme or severe weight loss, protein
and other substances in the body can also be depleted. Examples of involuntary
weight loss include the weight loss associated with cancer,
mal-absorption (such as from chronic diarrhoeal illnesses ), and chronic
inflammation (such as with rheumatoid arthritis).
WEIGHT LOSS RECIPE
1. Sprouts and Veggie Salad recipe
Sprouts, one of the best foods if you are looking for weight loss, as it has fewer calories which help to keep your weight under control. It is an important component of healthy eating habits. You will get necessary components like Protein, fiber, vitamin C and vitamin A.
Ingredients
1/2 cup boiled mixed sprouts (moong , matki , chana etc.)
1 cup capsicum diced (red and yellow)
1 tbsp chopped spring onion greens
Salt to taste
For The Low-fat Curd Dressing
1/2 cup low-fat curd (dahi)
1/2 tsp lemon juice
Salt and freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) to taste
Method
For the dressing.
Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and mix well.
Refrigerate for at least an hour.
Serve
chilled.
2. Lemon grass green tea
Drinking this aids in digestion, helps insomnia and helps in DETOXIFICATION
- You just need to chop the leaves and dump them into a pot/kettle with water and boil.
- In some cultures, the leaves are not boiled but rather infused in boiled water.
- You can sweeten with sugar or honey and drink.
- Other things you can add to your lemon grass tea are fresh ginger and lemon.
